Black Fri-Nay or Yay
I have NEVER been Black Friday shopping until this year. Every year I wanted to go, but my mom was worried I would lose a leg or someone might step on my eyeballs. She would see horrible things on the News about people who get trampled and have to go to the hospital…but this year I guess she didn’t mind if I broke a few bones.
I had a great Thanksgiving with delicious sweet potatoes that made my taste buds happy and my stomach full. I swear, if I had one more bite…I would ooze. I don’t know what “ooze” 100% means, but I feel the word has some power behind it. OOooOZzee.
That night the plan was to go home when we were done with all the happy thanksgiving mumbo
go to sleep
then wake up at 12 AM.
We were to hit Walmart first…You: waLmaRt, y r u goin there first?
okayY, they had “iPhone deals”…this is in quotations because the first Walmart we went to did NOT have iPhones there…at ALL. There was a post that there would be iPhone 8’s available, and it was a great deal…but noooo we were lucky enough to waste an hour (maybe more) of our time at the wrong Walmart. So…we take our frozen bodies and shove ourselves in the car. We do however decide to go to another Walmart, but this one is like…Mega-Walmart.
There is a line…of course (and we actually see the same person we saw at the first Walmart at this one. I thought that was funny because he beat us to this store) and here they only let in about ten people at a time.
Long story short… When we get in, they run out of iPhones.
Okaay moving on…After this loss, I want to get the full experience of going out and doing some shopping.
Now it is a little after 2 AM…My brother and I decide that we will go to the mall! Em Um, the experience was not how I pictured it. I thought I was going to see some fights or crazy running around, but the situation was more of…hhmm…middle schoolers waiting for their rides to come, high schoolers that are literally just walking around not trying to shop, but they are causing trouble, and slow lines.
In the end I got a really nice shirt (that I would NEVER pay the full price for) and some good ol’ lotion.
Yes, this post was just as dry as my experience during Black Friday.
It was definitely not worth waking up early for…the hype is a lie…just go to sleep and celebrate Cyber-Monday.
